VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

Vigilance Awareness Week is one of the Participative Vigilance initiatives in the fight against corruption. It is an awareness-building and outreach measure aimed at bringing together all the stakeholders. It is observed to create greater sensitivity about the need for ethics and transparency in governance and public administration. For the past three years, there has been a campaign at ARIES in the run-up to the week with preventive vigilance initiatives as focus areas. Every year Vigilance Awareness Week is observed in the week in which the birthday of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel falls.

The observation of Vigilance Awareness Week - 2024 commenced at Manora Peak Campus of ARIES on 28th October 2024 with Integrity Pledge by all the officers, staff, and research students. The pledge was led by Dr. Brijesh Kumar, Part-time CVO, & Mr. Rajneesh Mishra, Registrar. A total of 50 people participated. This physical pledge ceremony was also organised at Devasthal campus at the same time and a total of 20 persons participated.

सतर्कता जागरूकता सप्ताह- 2024 की शुरुआत 28 अक्टूबर 2024 को एरीज़ के मनोरा पीक परिसर में अधिकारियों, कर्मचारियों और शोध छात्रों द्वारा सत्यनिष्ठा की शपथ के साथ हुई। यह शपथ डॉ. ब्रिजेश कुमार, पार्ट-टाइम सीवीओ, और श्री राजनीश मिश्रा, रजिस्ट्रार द्वारा ली गई। कुल 50 व्यक्तियों ने इस शपथ समारोह में भाग लिया। इस शारीरिक शपथ समारोह का आयोजन देवस्थल परिसर में भी उसी समय किया गया था, जिसमें कुल 20 व्यक्तियों ने भाग लिया।

The observation of Vigilance Awareness Week - 2023 (30th October to 5th November, 2023) commenced at ARIES with Integrity Pledge by all the officers, staff, and research students. The pledge was led by Dr. T. S. Kumar, Vigilance Officer & Mr. Rajneesh Mishra, Registrar. After the Pledge taking ceremony, a Vigilance Awareness Quiz was conducted in which the Officers, Staff and Research students actively participated in both offline & online mode.

सतर्कता जागरूकता सप्ताह - 2023 (30 अक्टूबर से 5 नवंबर, 2023) का अवलोकन एरीज़ में सभी अधिकारियों, कर्मचारियों और शोध छात्रों द्वारा सत्यनिष्ठा प्रतिज्ञा के साथ शुरू हुआ। प्रतिज्ञा का नेतृत्व सतर्कता अधिकारी डॉ. टी.एस. कुमार तथा श्री रजनीश मिश्रा, रजिस्ट्रार ने किया। शपथ ग्रहण समारोह के बाद, एक सतर्कता जागरूकता प्रश्नोत्तरी आयोजित की गई जिसमें अधिकारियों, कर्मचारियों और शोध छात्रों ने ऑफ़लाइन और ऑनलाइन दोनों मोड में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया।

Students from University Of Petroleum And Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun participated in the Vigilance Awareness Program at ARIES on 25th October 2023. As part of this outreach activity, integrity pledge was administered to the students and the teachers of UPES.

As a prelude to Vigilance Awareness Week 2023, a session was organized on 26th Oct 2023 at 11:00AM during which the following Preventive Vigilance Measures to be taken up were discussed:

Awareness building about Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI) Resolution,
Capacity Building Programs,

Identification and implementation of Systemic Improvement measures,
Leveraging of IT for complaint disposal,
Updation of Circulars / Guidelines / Manuals
