2. Speed in short hand @ 80 w.p.m. in English. The dictation will be given for 10 minutes which will be transcribed in 50 minutes.

3. The typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English on Computer. (35 w.p.m. corresponds to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)

14.

Driver,

1. Matriculation from a recognized Board

2. Possession of valid driving license for motor cars/heavy vehicles.

3. Knowledge of motor mechanics. (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle.)

4. Experience of driving a motor car for at least 5 years out of which 3 years’ experience must be in hilly area.

5. Working knowledge of English or Hindi.

  1. The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  2. The applicants applying in response to this advertisement should satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for the post applied for. They must be fulfilling eligibility criteria as on the closing date of applications failing which their application shall be rejected. The applicant may keep a copy of the finally submitted application for future reference. There is no need to send the hard copy of the application.
  3. The applicants for the post of Engineering Assistant (SC Category) and Junior Scientific Assistant (Unreserved category), those who were shortlisted with reference to ARIES advertisement in the Employment News dated: 21-27 August, 2021 and shortlisted candidates for the post in Sr. No. 1 to 8 against advertisement in the employment News 18-23 February, 2023, are not required to apply again. Their eligibility/application for the said posts will be considered based on their previous applications.
  4. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease.
  5. The applicants are required to apply through online mode only. Applicants applying for more than one post are required to apply online separately.
  6. The applicant must submit all the documents/photo with clear/good quality. All the document/photo must be legible, failing which the application shall be rejected.
  7. (a) SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), EWS and PwBD applicants are required to attach the valid Certificate in the format prescribed by the Government of India. The same shall also be produced in original at the time of skill/trade test/Document Verification. In the absence of said document(s), the candidature of the candidate shall be rejected. (b) OBC (Non-creamy layer) and EWS certificate issued by the Competent Authority, should be valid for the Financial Year 2025- 2026 only.
  8. The experience required in a certain pay level should match with pay level as per VII CPC. The relevant experience requirement specified should be the experience acquired after obtaining the minimum essential educational qualification required for the post.
  9. Application fee of ₹ 500/- for General/OBC category is to be paid in online mode only. SC/ST/PwBD/EWS/Women/Ex-servicemen are exempted from application fee. If applicant is applying for more than one post, the prescribed application fee is to be paid for each post separately. The application fee deposited once is neither refundable nor adjustable.
  10. The age relaxation to reserved candidates shall be applicable against the reserved vacancy only. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per the norms of Govt. of India. The cutoff date for determining age will be as on the last date of receiving of applications.
  11. TA/DA is not admissible for appearing in the written/skill/Trade test.
  12. Incomplete application form, without the attachment of original/certified documents of all relevant Certificates (both experience and professional), or application without requisite fee, will be summarily rejected. The responsibility of entries in the application form lies with the applicant.
  13. All educational/professional/technical qualifications should be from a recognized Board/University.
  14. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection, which may be detected at any stage even after issue of the appointment letter, the Institute reserves the right to modify, withdraw or cancel any communication made to the applicants.
  15. After joining the service of the Institute, the persons will have to abide by the MoA/Bye-Laws/Rules and Regulations of the Institute as applicable from time to time. He/ She may be assigned any duty at Devasthal and Manora Peak, Nainital or any other office of ARIES.
  16. The Institute shall verify the antecedent or documents submitted by a person at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are misleading/false or the person has a clandestine antecedent or background and has suppressed any material information, then his/her services shall be terminated forthwith.
  17. The applicants are required to apply only through ONLINE process up to 17th October, 2025 till 23:59 Hrs with attachment of all required supporting documents i.e, educational qualifications, experience, caste, disability, etc., failing which candidature will not be considered.
  18. The candidates selected on direct recruitment will be governed by the provisions of the New Pension Scheme introduced by the Government of India w.e.f. 01.01.2004 or as applicable from time to time. It may be noted that Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) is not effective at the Institute till date.
  19. The applicants serving on regular basis in Central/State Government/ Public Sector Undertakings /Autonomous/Statutory Bodies must submit No Objection Certificate in the online application without which their candidature shall not be considered.
  20. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. In case candidates could not submit their online application due to failure of server/any technical defect at the last moment, last date will not be extended. Therefore, candidates are advised to submit their online application well in advance before the last date of submission of applications. Institute's decision shall be final and no enquiry will be entertained in this regard.
  21. If any document/certificate furnished is in a language other than Hindi or English, a transcribed copy in Hindi/English of the same duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or Notary is required to be uploaded.
  22. All further amendments/corrigendum, clarifications, communication, etc. if any, related to this advt. shall be published only at ARIES website. Candidates should regularly check ARIES website https://www.aries.res.in/opportunities for latest updates on this Advertisement.
  23. Mere possessing the essential qualification will not entitle any candidate, the right to be considered eligible for the post. The final list of candidates called for Written/Skill/Trade Test will be based on the short listing of candidates by a duly constituted Committee. All the updates regarding the same shall be published in the Institute’s website. No interim correspondence will be entertained.
  24. The selection will be done on the basis of written test/Examination. The skill / trade test will only be of qualifying nature, wherever applicable.
  25. The Institute reserves the right to reject the application without assigning any reason. Canvassing in any manner will disqualify the candidate from the selection process. The Institute reserves the right to modify/defer or cancel full/part of the advertisement/recruitment at any stage of processing without assigning any reasons. The Institute reserves the right not to fill the advertised post.
  26. The pay, allowances and other benefits i.e NPS, Medical Reimbursement, LTC, etc., are admissible as per the Institute's norms. The selected candidates will be governed by the rules of this Institute.
  27. The reservation policy will be followed as per Govt. Of India rules.
