SN 2016B, a.k.a ASASSN-16ab, was spotted in PGC 037392 by the All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASASSN) program on 2016 January 3.62 UT at a visual magnitude of 14.7 mag (Shappee et al. 2016). The classification of supernovae (SNe), from the 1940s to present, has been through numerous challenges. With the detailed study of events, their individual properties surfaced, which led to the proposal of various classes of SNe. It was classified as type IIP. Photometry and its analysis is performed in order to study more about type IIP supernovae. Its critical analysis is given in 'Dastidar Raya et. al. SN2016B a.k.a ASSASN-16ab : a transitional type II supernova, 2018'. I have reproduced some of its result.
