Ever wondered how the telescope once pointed at a desired target, tracks that
target in spite of the external and internal disturbances and in case of ground
telescope, of the rotation of the Earth.
The pointing control system in the telescope works continuously in mitigating
the error by comparing the desired target and the actual target. The motor
speed control is an important part of the pointing control system, in the talk a
new control algorithm for the speed control of motor namely "Artificial delayed
output twisting algorithm" will be discussed. Also the implementation results
of the algorithm along with its comparison with the conventional PI controller
will be presented.
