Abstract

We investigate effects of radiation from accretion disc onto relativistic jets in general relativistic regime. We obtain that the jets are not only kinetically driven under intense radiation field but also the energy exchange between radiation and matter leads to heating of jets that may increase the temperature of the plasma by several orders up to 10^11K. The temperature depends on luminosity of the disc. We also obtain a relation between the disc luminosity and obtained upper limit of the temperature and compare the results with various observed radio loud sources. Apart from this the Compton driving in jets leads to internal shocks. We also discuss the impact of these shocks and terminal Lorentz factors of the jets.
