Abstract

Supernovae are the dominant sources of stellar feedback, which plays an important role in regulating galaxy
formation and evolution. During the previous five observing seasons from October 2014 to April 2016 we
observed a number of events covering various subtypes of SNe such as Ia, Ia-pec, Ib and IIP starting from
nearly 10 days after discovery and lasting upto approximately 200 days. Amongst these we present photometric and spectroscopic evolution of a type Ia-pec event SN 2014dt in M61. We present the light curve studies, evolution of colors and compare the luminosity of SN 2014dt with other peculiar events of Ia class. The spectra of SN 2014dt at 22d and 67d after explosion is compared with SN 2005hk at similar epochs.
