The starting of the talk comprises the perturbation in the fluid flow and their analysis under linear assumption. Then I will discuss how these perturbations lead to the formation of shocks. Then we will discuss the theoretical aspects of Hydrodynamic and Magnetohydrodynamic shocks in detail. The latter part will consist of their implications in astrophysical context.
