I shall talk about the classification of High Energy BL Lac (HBL) objects
and Extreme High Energy BL Lac (EHBL) objects. Recently, it is observed that a new subclass of EHBL is emerging, which are named as Temporary EHBLs (tEHBLs). We have studied all the tEHBLs observed so far and suggested a new classification scheme. I shall discuss about their VHE spectra and check if these objects can be potential sources of IceCube neutrinos.
Prof. Sarira Sahu did his PhD in 1994 at IOP, Bhubaneswar, in nuclear physics. Later on he was a postdoc at the University of Valencia, Spain; PRL Ahmedabad; and also IPR (Institute for Plasma Research), Gandhinagar. He joined the Institute of Nuclear Sciences, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), in 1999 as an assistant professor.
His research interests are in the Finite Temperature Field Theory, Neutrino Physics, Very High-Energy Gamma Rays from Blazars and the Origin of the IceCube detected neutrinos.
