Aryabhatta Research Institute of observational sciencES (ARIES) invites Online-application for the position of a Senior Project Associate purely on temporary basis to work on the observations made on PM2.5 using Himalayan network of CUPI sensors including the observations from Manora peak, ARIES Nainital. The senior project associate is intended to analysis the PM2.5 data and evaluate with WRF-chem Model over different type of sites, in order to understand the transport mechanisms and valley pollution driven by mountain topography across 13 sites in the central Himalayas and foothill plains. The position is initially for 6 months likely to start from 01 May 2025. The selected candidate will also be involved in the operation and onsite visits for maintenance of the related observing facility across the Himalayan sites. A walk in Interview will be conducted in the meeting room of ARIES Guest house on 29 April 2025, 3 PM onwards. Kindly report at 2 PM.

The criteria for the selection of Senior Project Associate:

  1. Master’ s  degree in Physics
  2. A minimum of four years of experience in the aforementioned/relevant area  OR  Doctoral Degree in Physics or related subject                                                           

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Tenure: For the period of 6 months.
  2. Monthly Emolument: Rs. 42000 + HRA for Senior Project Associate
  3. Upper Age Limit: 35 years
  4. Termination: Director, ARIES reserves the right to terminate the engagement/contract at any stage in case of impropriety, misconduct, and breach of conditions, irregular attendance, or poor quality of performance.
  5. Posting: The selected candidate will be posted at ARIES office locations.
  6. All other Terms & conditions shall be governed as per the Institute norms.
