The winners of the National Astronomy Challenge by STEM & SPACE visited ARIES on 27-28/04/23 for a space exploration camp accompanied by their teachers and parents. They did stargazing, saw sunspots, planetarium and documentary shows, interacted with scientists and got a tour of all the major telescopes at Manora Peak and Devasthal.
21 students from Dept. of Physics, Swami Shukdevanand College, Shahjahanpur, UP visited ARIES on 12/04/23 to learn more about astronomy and atmospheric science, working of telescopes, research and opportunities at ARIES, followed by a tour of the 104 cm Sampurnand Telescope. They also saw sunspots and planetarium show.
15 students from Government Degree College, Talwari, Chamoli visited ARIES on 04/05/23 for educational trip. They interacted with ARIES outreach team about astronomy, space and ground based telescopes, sunspots, career guidance for research in astronomy and atmospheric science, followed by a tour of the 104 cm Sampurnand Telescope.
72 Students of class 6 and teachers from Parvati Prema Jagati Saraswati Vihar Senior Secondary School, Nainital visited ARIES on 15/05/23 to learn more about astronomy, telescopes and science in general.
The students also learnt how satellite mega constellations and space debris are a threat for astronomy from the visiting members of Aryabhat Foundation, Bhopal.
ARIES outreach team visited the NCC Cadets' Camp at Ranibagh, Nainital on 12/05/23 and conducted a stargazing session for 450 cadets from all over Uttarakhand.
50 students Holy Trinity Senior Secondary School Lal Kuan visited ARIES on 12/05/23 for educational trip. They got a tour of the 104 cm Sampurnand Telescope, planetarium and documentary shows followed by sunspot observations.
