Observed properties of core-collapse SNe, such as light curve and spectra, are governed by the properties and environment of the progenitor star. Our objective has been to determine metallicity for a large sample of SNe at the location of explosion in their host galaxy and study the effect of metallicity on the properties of SNe types.
