In this talk, I will discuss my work on the detection of solar atmospheric features using normal image processing techniques to advanced Machine Learning and neural networks. I will discuss my work on the long-term variability of solar filaments. I will also talk about the application of seismology to find the plasma parameters of filaments including magnetic field; direct measurement of which is difficult otherwise.
