1. Day visit to Corbett National Park, Ramnagar-Uttarakhand

Jim Corbett National Park is one of the oldest and prestigious national parks in India, famously known for its tiger reserve. It is located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand state. More information about the day tour visit can be found at

Jungle Safari

2. Lake tour

Though Nainital and surrounding places are full of lakes with picturesque beauty but we cannot cover many lakes in a single day trip. As we will already be staying in Bhimtal as the conference venue, we will not cover Bhimtal during the excursion trip as one can visit Bhimtal in the morning and evening hours during the conference days itself. As this is just a one-day tour, we will try to cover the three most beautiful lakes in this region. After having breakfast at 9 AM, we will head towards Naukichiatal, the lake of nine corners, from our base at Bhimtal which is just 4 km away from the conference venue and will take about 15-20 minutes. Naukuchia Tal is the deepest lake in this region. With its well decorated banks and surrounding scenic beauty, Naukuchiatal is one of the most popular lakes among locals and tourists alike. After spending around 3 hours in Naukichiatal, we will travel towards Sattal Lake which is located 17 km from Naukuchiatal and will take around 45 mins to reach our destination. Located at an altitude of 1370 m, Sattal is a cluster of mysteriously inter-connected seven freshwater lakes that offers a serene, pristine, and unspoiled experience.  The Lake sits below lush orchards among the dense forests of oak and pine trees and lush green mountains throw a sweet aroma. One can do Zip-lining, boating, and kayaking at Sattal. You may also have lunch at Sattal. After exploring the beautiful landscapes of Sattal in about 3-4 hours, we will travel towards Nainital, which will take 30-45 minutes, for sight seeing. Here, you will explore the mesmerizing  Nainital Lake, where you can do boating, and one can visit Nainital Zoo, Eco Cave Gardens, Naina Peak, and Ropeway, among others depending upon time availability. People can have dinner here before heading back to their destination. If you have a night train for Delhi, you can pick up a taxi from Nainital itself which takes about 1 hour to reach Kathgodam, the nearest railway station from Nainital and Bhimtal.

Please note that the excursion tour is on a self-paid basis and you will have to bear all the expenses of this tour including lunch, meals during transit, any personal expenses, and entry fees for any sightseeing or activity charges. The organisers will arrange for a mini-bus or shared taxis, depending upon the number of participants, who opted for this tour.
