The First BINA workshop entitled “Instrumentation and Science with the 3.6-m and 4.0-m ILMT telescopes” will take place in the auditorium of ATI located at Mallital, Nainital (Uttarakhand, India).
Free accommodation and lodging will be provided by the organizers to all the participants.

How to reach ARIES (Nainital)
Kathgodam is the nearest railway station – 35 km from Nainital – which is connected by broad gauge to Delhi and Lucknow. Some of the important train connections from Kathgodam: Bagh Express (daily-Howrah), Ranikhet Express (daily-Delhi), Sampark Kranti Express (daily-Delhi), ANVT KGM Shatabadi Exp (New Delhi station – Kathgodam, daily) plus many other trains connecting to Kathgodam.
Nainital is connected by road to major centers of northern India, some of the major road distances are: Agra – 379 km. , Delhi – 277 km. and Bareilly – 141 km.
Tip for using taxi from Kathgodam-ARIES: once you reach Kathgodam railways station, you can also take a taxi to ARIES, which taxi drivers usually know as Observatory. For ARIES, there is a bifurcation road on the Kathgodam-Nainital high way, 6 km before reaching Nainital. The bifurcation road is about 3km long. Due to this, some taxi drivers charge Rs 25-50 extra for Kathgodam-ARIES as compared to Kathgodam-Nainital. The typical share basis taxi fares may be around Rs 100-125 per seat, and full taxi may cost around Rs 400-500 (it does also highly vary depending on the number of tourists visiting Nainital).
Institute bus service is also available from the Nainital bus stand to ARIES. The bus timings are 8.30 AM, 9.30AM, 1:00 PM, 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM (last).
