In recent years the rising demand of larger memory, high speed scientific and engineering computation, processing and storage requirements from the institute’s Staffs/Faculty & students led to elevate the priority of establishing the High Performance Computing (HPC) facility. Apart from existing servers/workstations at ARIES-Manora Peak & Devasthal campuses, the institute also hosts one high-end HPC facility named Surya at its datacenter in Haldwani.
Surya is one master node + six compute node based HPC(CPU)system for handling the scientific and engineering computational loads of the institute.
