Conference Proceedings

We would like to invite you to submit a manuscript about your presentation for the proceedings 
of the first BINA workshop. The proceedings will be published in the Bulletin of Liège Royal Society 
of Sciences (an open-access, peer-reviewed journal). The manuscripts will be subdivided into three 
sections (see 16aries_proceedings_list.txt in attachment):

   1. Instrumentation (guest editor: A. Omar)
   2. Galactic astronomy (guest editor: P. De Cat)
   3. Extragalactic astronomy (guest editor: J. Surdej)
   
A detailed description of the procedure to follow is given below. Please use 12, 8, and 4 as the 
maximum recommended number of pages for invited talks (IT_NN in 16aries_proceedings_list.txt), 
contributed talks (CT_NN in 16aries_proceedings_list.txt), 
and posters (P_NN in 16aries_proceedings_list.txt), respectively. 
The deadline for the submission of manuscripts for the proceedings of the 1st BINA workshop is on 
April 15, 2017. We look forward to receiving your contribution.
  ***** PROCEDURE FOR PROCEEDINGS PAPERS FIRST BINA WORKSHOP *****

The tarball (bina.tar) contains the adequate latex template to be used to prepare the papers for
 the proceedings of the 1st BINA workshop.

1. Please do not change the general layout of the template.

2.There is a recommended page limit of 4, 8, and 12 pages for proceedings articles of posters, 
  contributed talks, and invited talks.

3.Bibliographic references should appear as in the examples inserted in the template. 
  The reference list should contain all the references cited in the text, ordered alphabetically by 
  surname (with initials following).If there are several references to the same first author, they 
  should be entered according to the following scheme:

   a. One author: chronologically
   b. Author, one co-author: alphabetically by co-author, then chronologically
   c. Author, two or more co-authors: chronologically.

For papers that have more than five authors, only the first three should be given, 
followed by "et al.". Please use the acronyms for journal names as given in
16aries_proceedings_JournalAbbreviations.txt (see attachments).

4.All figures should be in pdf format. Figures from previous publications can be used 
  only with the permission of the editorial committee of the original publication.
  In this case, the caption of the re-used figure should contain the following words: "Taken from ????
  with permission" (or any equivalent formula).

5.The manuscripts should be compiled using "pdflatex".The pdf file should be submitted to the 
editorial committee of the 1st BINA workshop by sending it by e-mail to the relevant guest editor:

- Amitesh Omar <aomar@aries.res.in> for papers of section   "Instrumentation"
- Peter De Cat <Peter.DeCat@oma.be> for papers of section   "Galactic astronomy"
- Jean Surdej <jsurdej@ulg.ac.be> for papers of section   "Extragalactic astronomy"

The guest editors will appoint referees for the submitted papers.

Once accepted, the manuscripts, including the latex file and the figures in pdf format, 
will be sent to Michaël De Becker <debecker@astro.ulg.ac.be>, who will take care of 
the final minor editing (if needed).Once published, all proceedings papers will be entered 
into the Astrophysics Data System (ADS) to ease their accessibility   to the international 
scientific community.
